Stop Using Anti-Freeze on Your Skin!

What you say Holistic Diva has lost her mind and gone crazy? Let's see who the crazy one is... did you know if you look in your bathroom right now you will find almost on every label from what you use, the babies use, your man use has PROPYLENE GLYCOL?

What is Propylene Glycol IS ASK?>>>>>>>> Anti-Freeze!

Propylene Glycol (PG, Polyethylene Glycol (PEG), and Ethylene Glycol (EG) are all petroleum derivatives that act as solvents, surfactants, and wetting agents. They can easily penetrate the skin, and can weaken protein and cellular structure. In fact, PG penetrates the skin so quickly that the EPA warns factory workers to avoid skin contact, to prevent brain, liver, and kidney abnormalities.

PG is present in many stick deodorants, often in heavier concentration than in most industrial applications. (Nyack, Dr. Vin, Ph.D., Biochemist; personal communication). And Propylene Glycol is what is used to carry the “active” ingredients in those transdermal patches INTO YOUR BODY!! Imagine a bottle of Anti-Freeze in a picture with shampoos, deodorants, cosmetics, lotions and toothpastes?
The question you should be asking is ….

What’s Anti-Freeze doing IN my shampoos, deodorants, cosmetics, lotions and toothpaste?

Yes, the main ingredient in anti-freeze is in all of these products!

Shocked? You should be! You need to understand what it could do to your health…
PROPYLENE GLYCOL - is a colorless, viscous, hygroscopic liquid CH3CHOHCH2OH, used in anti-freeze solutions, in hydraulic fluids, and as a solvent. Also called “Propanediol” American Heritage Encyclopedia Dictionary.

PROPYLENE GLYCOL is used in: Anti-Freeze * Brake and Hydraulic Fluid * De-Icer * Paints and Coatings * Floor Wax * Laundry Detergents * Pet Food * Tobacco * Cosmetics * Toothpastes * Shampoos * Deodorants * Lotions * Processed Foods and many more personal care items.

Check out your body lotions, deodorant, hair conditioner, hair gel, creams, and many more products! Propylene Glycol serves as a Humectant – a substance that helps retain moisture content, or simply –it prevents things from drying out. That’s why some pet foods are soft and chewy. This, of course, is a good reason it’s in cosmetics and other personal care items. It makes the skin feel moist and soft. And, the products don’t dry out. Propylene Glycol is also found in baby wipes and even some processed foods! Go ahead, check your labels!

A published clinical review showed propylene glycol causes a significant number of reactions and was a primary irritant to the skin even in low levels of concentrations. The American Academy of Dermatologists, Inc; Jan. 1991
The problem is PROPYLENE GLYCOL may be absorbed through the skin. Studies have shown SYSTEMIC retention (Residue throughout).

Your Makeup: Rocks, Abestos, Poisons & Cancer! Are you Safe?

This is a beautiful looking rock isn't it? But did you know this rock is very harish on your beautiful aging skin? What ? You don't use rocks on your face you say?

Well if you are using the average make-up on the market, chances are you are cutting your face with this rock. Every day, all day, year in year out. You wonder why you are wrinkling and face is looking a hot mess!

Well, now you are wondering if your make-up is safe? Well you have always heard me say, our 100% pure mineral makeup has no TALC or Bismuth. Some people go so what, or I don't even know what it is?

While bismuth oxychloride is a common ingredient in traditional makeup, as well as mineral makeup, it is used in much higher concentrations in mineral makeup. There are no fillers in mineral makeup like there are in traditional cosmetics (talc, mineral oil, aluminum powder, alcohols and parabens), so the few ingredients left, including bismuth oxychloride, make up more of the recipe.

Titanium, Zirconium, Benzalkonium, Bismuth, Antimony (*1), Barium (*2), Aluminum, Tin, Chromium, Benzene & PCBs: According to Dr. Hulda Reghi Clark, all of these ingredients are extremely dangerous. *1 - Breast cancer cases show Titanium, Zirconium, Benzalkonium, Bismuth, Antimony, and Aluminum accumulation in the breast. *2 -Barium is described in the Merck Index as a "caution". ALL water or acid soluble Barium is POISONOUS! 10ed. P.139, 1983. Aluminium, found in the majority of deodorants and anti-perspirants. Results of WHO studies link regular use of aluminum based deodorants to an increased risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.

Talc: Cosmetic talc is reportedly carcinogenic as it can be contaminated with asbestos fibres, which can be inhaled when applying makeup. (There is no safe level of asbestos exposure). Clear evidence exists that inhaling talc and using it in the genital area causes ovarian cancer and urinary tract disorders as well as respiratory distress in infants.

Now ask yourself, Self does the makeup I wear contain any of these ingredients? If the answer is yes, it is your personal decision to proceed forward. If you would like to know and experience a safer make-up line that is pure 100% minerals without bismuth and talc.

Lanolin, Baa Baa Bad Sheep- ANIMAL BY PRODUCTS 101

Lanolin, BAA BAA Bad Sheep- Animal-by products 101

If you are reading your labels on your personal care products, I commend you right now, stand up and pat your back. Job well done. If you are one of those shoppers that just go thru the aisles looking for the best deal (cheap) or at the dollar store getting those $1 brand beauty products, sit down, YOU ARE ABOUT TO GET VERY ANGRY. If you are sharing these with your children, YOU ARE ABOUT TO GET HOT UNDER THE COLLAR. Why don't they educate about these things in school?

I find that our parents were told this was good, and generations just keep following not questions where did this come from or what is it? It time people to WAKE UP!

Lanolin is simply the wax taken from sheep's wool, (sheep’s dandruff) after the sheep has been shorn. The clipped wool is covered with a pale-yellow, water repellent wax. Also known as wool fat. It's extracted from the wool by a boiling process. This is crude lanolin (ewww!)

Sailors and soldiers alike all used lanolin as a very effective anti-corrosion and waterproofing agent for a variety of metals, materials, timbers, and also to protect sails, leather, cannons, etc. It is naturally foul-smelling, but loses its odor when refined for cosmetic products. Lanolin can be found in soaps, many cosmetics, ointments, creams, and is used as a lubricant, and in finishing and preserving leather. Surprisingly it is also an ingredient in some varnishes and paints and in some shoe polish. Many people have allergic reactions to it. It can also clog your skin's pores and may cause you to break out.

Problems: eczema, diaper rash, itchy skin, hair breakage and damage and many more

There are two problems with lanolin.

1. It can be refined to acceptable cosmetic grade and still contain impurities, some of which can be allergens. People who are allergic to lanolin are probably allergic to unrelated ingredients that were not removed in the refining process. Also, some manufacturers use a chemical bleach to whiten the color.

2. Some lanolin can be tainted with DDT, dieldrin, lindane, or other toxic pesticides. It's possible for these carcinogens to make their way into our skincare products. This is because the sheep may be eating food that has been treated with these or other insecticides.

A lot of these direct sales company still use chemicals, lanolin and mineral oil in their products..trust me I used to sell them..you know them with the catalogs and cheap 1.99 lip gloss, or the pink cadillac ladies with the harmful alcohol in the products. I know because I have read every ingredient in these products I USED to sell. I GREW A CONSCIOUS... I could no longer sell these harmful products to the community.

THE SOUL PURPOSE PRODUCT LINE DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY ANIMAL BY PRODUCTS, CRUDE OIL OR LANOLIN. WE HAVE SAFE AND BENEFICIAL PRODUCTS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. Check them out today and KICK THE SHEEP HABIT.
