So You Finished Your Workout Today
Many of us have a great workout routine. We drink plenty of water, warm up, stretch, work the entire body, and even get in some cardio. Then, after the last exercise, we promptly head back to the locker room, change, and journey home.
You may have done the majority of the work, but how you treat your body in the minutes and hours after you exercise has a direct effect on muscle soreness, muscle strength and growth, and staying hydrated.
Cool Down: The first thing you need to do is cool down. Try some light cardio for a few minutes. This brings your heart rate down at a slow and steady pace, which helps you avoid feeling sick after a workout. Walking on a treadmill for five minutes is a good and easy way to cool down.
Stretch: Stretching allows your muscles to rebuild, growing bigger and stronger, and thus allows you to get the full benefit from your efforts. Stretching after exercise also relaxes your muscles, helps speed circulation to joints and tissues, and helps removal of unwanted waste products, thereby reducing muscle soreness and stiffness.
Drink Water: It's recommended that you drink another 2-3 cups within two hours after you have finished exercising. You may not feel thirsty anymore, but you still need to replenish yourself to avoid getting dehydrated.
Refuel: You need to repair your muscles and boost your energy level, and you need to do it fast. It's recommended that you eat within 90 minutes of your workout, but the sooner the better. Look for foods that are packed with complex carbohydrates and protein. A perfect example is a tuna sandwich on whole wheat bread.
Exercise Extra: The longer you cool down after a workout, the less sore you will be the following day.

Rolling With the Punches
Change is the natural order of the world. When something tries to stand against the force of change, it's eventually destroyed. Cliffs are eroded, trees are uprooted, granite cracks. People can crack too. For us to grow and live--to flourish--it takes adaptation and learning. Stubborn attachment to a single set of "knowledge" or way of doing things leads to stagnation of the mind and spirit. Remember to keep an open mind to new people and new ideas. Challenge yourself to always be learning something new. Focus on the possibilities of a fresh start, instead of hanging on to old frustrations. Sails are made with cloth for a reason. When they're stiff, winds beat against them until they tear. But if the sails are relaxed and workable, the wind can take you to places you've never been before.

When it's time to shut your Mouth?
One common trait to nearly every good leader is the art of listening. Many times, the best leaders can be among the quietest in the room. They know their time is well spent in hearing new perspectives, ideas, and thoughts. It's how they grow personally and build visions. The wisest leaders know that hearing themselves talk is no way to build trust and goodwill.
You can do the same thing. When a friend needs to talk, resist the urge to give advice right away and just listen. Ask questions, and really try to understand the answer. When a customer calls, don't say a word about your product until you fully know their needs.
When your spouse is hurting, it's not the time to prove that you were right. Over time, you can develop that leader-like sense of when to open your mouth and when to keep it clamped firmly shut.

Working too Much Can Add Weight
Do you have a schedule that requires you to work more than forty hours per week, leaving you exhausted at the end of every workday? If so, go weigh yourself. If the number on the scale is higher than you believe it should be, you can probably blame your busy schedule for contributing to your excess weight.
Work can add weight—that’s the conclusion of a new Finnish study involving 9,000 Helsinki city employees, ages 40 to 60. University of Helsinki researchers found that weight gain was especially likely for individuals who must balance demanding jobs with the hectic requirements of family. In the study, a fourth of the women, along with 19 percent of the men, reported that they had gained weight the previous year. Strongly associated with weight gain was work fatigue.
The study identified two basic risk factors that seem to lead to weight gain: (1) consistently working beyond the standard 40 hours per week, and (2) consistently experiencing feelings of work fatigue.
The first factor, particularly high among women, involved those participants who expressed dissatisfaction with how they were able to combine paid work with family life. The second factor involved participants who agreed with three or more of these statements:
My work is definitely too stressful.
I feel like I'm totally exhausted.
I feel totally worn out after a day at work.
I feel tired in the morning when I have to get up and go to work.
I worry about my work even when I'm off duty.
I have to work too hard.
Researchers concluded that both risk factors involve work fatigue or burnout—conditions that may tempt workers to soothe midday stress by turning to vending machine treats, scarfing down fast food, and skipping exercise because they lack both time and energy. So what can you do if extra hours on the job may be causing you to pack on the pounds? Only you can be the judge of what you can do to improve the situation, but here are some tips that may help:
Take a break from your television for a week—or even one day a week. You may be surprised to find yourself enjoying the quiet, picking up a book you've always meant to read, or talking to your kids. At the very least, you may find yourself going to bed earlier when you feel tired, instead of spacing out in front of the boob tube.
Look for areas of your life to simplify or consolidate. For example, can you set aside a day to run all (or even most) of your errands, saving time and gas? Can you teach your kids to plan ahead so that you’re not heading to the mall every other day?
Evaluate your work schedule and tasks. See which items require some overtime, and then try to plan one or two days to consciously work overtime to accomplish those tasks. You may still be working long hours, but you’ll have some control over your schedule, rather than being at someone else’s whims. You may even improve your efficiency.
Take a good hard look at your job. Is it a good fit for you? While we all have areas of dissatisfaction in our work, it’s generally not normal to be continually exhausted at the end of the day. When we’re well suited to our work, we should enjoy it much of the time. Assuming that you don’t have an untenable amount of work (and if you do, that may require a conversation with the boss), maybe it’s time to start looking for a new job.
Or call me to join my stressfree all natural company and work for yourself and increase your longevity and quality of life. All it takes is $10 plus tax to get started.

Baby Oil NO! Use Wild Crafted Shea Butter
Unrefined "Wild Crafted" Shea Butter contains natural tocopherols (vitamin E), cinnamic esters and unsaponifiable fats. It offers unparalleled moisturizing properties, as well as natural UV protection and protection against sun allergies.
Shea Butter has a long history of successful application in alleviating and dramatically improving numerous conditions of the skin, including itching, dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, soreness, wounds, burns, scarring and stretch marks.
French dermatologists used shea butter on 35 people from different age, sex and racial backgrounds for a period of ten days to 5 months. These subjects had all types of skin disorders ranging from dry and wrinkled skin to serious burns and rashes. There was substantial healing in all of the cases, and in some cases the healing was almost miraculous. These clinical trials have all been well documented by the French Ministry of Health.
Wild crafted Shea butter has been used for centuries for its unsurpassed ability to protect and regenerate the skin. It comes from the nut of the Karite (ka-ree-tay) tree, which grows throughout West Africa. Karite can grow up to 20 meters high, and its trunk can reach up to 1 meter in diameter. It produces its first fruit when it is about 25 years old, and reaches full production at the age of 40-50, and can live up to 300 years. The fruits of the Karite tree resemble large plums, approximately 3-6 cm. The Karite nut is edible and contains 1-3 seeds surrounded by a thin brittle hull. The creamy substance, known as shea butter, is produced from these seeds.
What are the Traditional Uses ?The name Karite means the Tree of Life, due to the multitude of important uses that shea butter provides. In Africa, it is used in daily cooking, and also taken therapeutically for colds and flus In the Yoruba tradition, shea butter is the ceremonial food for the orishas: Obatala, Olokun, and Orumila. Shea butter is used on newborns and infants daily to protect their sensitive skin from irritants. It is also used extensively by the elderly to treat afflictions of the joints and to maintain the suppleness of their skin. Many people use it regularly on their feet to heal cracks made by the dry Sahara dust. The fruits of the Karite tree are traditionally harvested by village women.
The process of making shea butter starts with the separation of the kernels from the hulls by pounding them. They are then kept at a low simmer by adding small amounts of water and continuous stirring. The karite is pored into calabashes, stirred, and the impurities skimmed off. This process may be repeated several times until the karite is a creamy white color.
What are the Benefits? The therapeutic properties of wild crafter Shea butter are numerous. Extremely high in Vitamins A, E and F, shea butter provides skin with all the essential elements it needs for good balance, elasticity and tone. Recently advocated as a cosmetic ingredient, shea butter continues to pique the interest of cosmetic chemists the world over.
Shea butter is used therapeutically for the following skin conditions:1. Dry Skin - Shea butter helps prevent ashy skin, chapping, chafing, rashes, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, skin cracks, and tough or rough skin (especially feet and elbows).2. Wrinkles - Shea butter helps aging soft skin tissue to firm up. Rejuvenates skin cells and cleans pores. Can be used on all skin types.3. Skin Irritations - Minor skin irritations including: allergies, insect bites, frost bites, sun burns, burns, and small skin wounds all respond positively to shea butter treatment.4. Dry Hair and Scalp - Apply to hair and scalp to add moisture to dry, brittle hair; to prevent weak hair from breaking, fading or thinning out; to prevent dandruff; and revitalize split ends. Shea butter will protect hair from the damaging rays of the sun, hair dryers, perms and dyes. Unlike petroleum based products, it will not clog pores and block hair shafts. Use it as a conditioning sheen to maintain hair's natural shine and improve manageability.
Try it before swimming to protect hair against chlorine and sea salt.5. Arthritis and Rheumatism - Shea butter is deeply penetrating and heating to soothe painful joints and aching muscles.6. Sun protection - Shea butter can be used as a sun screen to prevent the UV rays from penetrating the skin.7. Sensitive Skin - For infants or people with highly sensitive skin, shea butter is a natural alternative. The chemical composition of shea butter is close to vernix, the substance found on newborns at birth.8. Stretch Marks - Shea butter is excellent for the prevention and treatment of stretch marks and other kinds of scar tissue. It is also good for the healing of the sore and cracked nipples of nursing mothers.9. Aging - Shea butter is wonderful for elderly and invalids for use to prevent bed sores and to ensure continued suppleness and moisture of their skin.10. Massage - African Shea butter is the ultimate in skin nourishment has the best "slide" and consistency for massage therapy.
Shea butter and oil have a high concentration of nonsaponifiable fatty acids which promote cellular growth, helping to restore damaged skin. Other components of shea butter and oil include: Keratin, necessary of maintaining elasticity of skin; Triterpenic Alcohols with Cinnamon Esters, which provide protection from UV rays; Allantoin; Resinous Esters, which provide healing and disinfecting properties, Cinnamic Acid, which most directly correlates with clinical effectiveness in healing; high levels of Stearic and Oleic fatty acids, known for their moisturizing qualities, as well as other natural compounds with high therapeutic value. The components of most seed oils can be divided into two important categories.
The first is called the saponifiabe fraction which contain most of the moisturizing properties. The second category is called the nonsaponifiable fraction, which contain most of the healing properties. What sets shea butter and oil apart from other seed and nut oils and butters is its exceptionally large nonsaponifiable fraction; containing important nutrients, vitamins and other valuable phytonutrients required for healing.
While having an excellent moisturizing fraction, in most other seed oils and butters the healing fraction is very small, often 1% or less. Shea butter, depending on the source and processing methods, has a nonsaponifiable fraction of 5% up to as much as 17%. Because shea butter has such a high percentage of nonsaponifiables, in addition to its moisturizing qualities, regular use of this natural cream can effectively treat many of the skin problems listed above. It is out of these unique healing properties that the Karite tree came to be known as the Tree of Life.
Moisturising & Healing Benefits of Unrefined Shea ButterUnrefined shea butter contains an abundance of healing ingredients, including vitamins, minerals, proteins and a unique fatty acid profile, and is a superior active moisturiser. Unlike petroleum based moisturisers, shea butter actually restores the skin's natural elasticity. Shea butter enables your skin to absorb moisture from the air, and as a result, it becomes softer and stays moisturised for longer.
In addition, shea butter has natural sunscreen properties and anti-inflammatory agents. Because of its amazing properties, shea butter is an excellent ingredient for soaps, lotions and creams. Perhaps it is most effective when applied to the skin in its pure state. Regular users of pure, unrefined shea butter notice softer, smoother, healthier skin. Shea butter has also been shown to help with skin conditions and ailments such as extreme dryness, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, skin allergies, fungal infections, blemishes, wrinkles, stretch marks, scars, scrapes, and more.

Debbi's Herbal Tips: Sage Tea Recipe
My mom grows sage in her backyard. So I have my own free sage supply. It makes great dressing as well.
It has been said American people would do well if they would use sage instead of tea and coffee. The Chinese make fun of the American people because they buy the expensive tea for their drink and pay a big price for it, while the Chinese buy sage from America for a small price and drink that for their tea, which is a most wonderful remedy.
The Chinese know that the sage tea will keep them well, while the tea that we buy from the Chinese makes us sick, is a cause of great nervousness and one of the causes of insanity. Sage tea is very soothing to the nerves, good for stomach troubles, gas, makes an excellent gargle for the throat, will expel worms, stop bleeding of wounds, good for liver and kidney troubles, a good wash for wounds, good hair tonic, fever reducer, and good for circulation.
This tea should not be boiled, just steeped. Information came from Back To Eden by Jethro Kloss. GREAT READ! THIS IS ON MY BOOK CLUB LIST.
Sage Tea Ingredients
1 tablespoon fresh sage leaf or 1 teaspoon dried sage
1 cup water
1 wedge lemon (optional)
honey, to sweeten (optional)
Sage Tea Directions
1. Bring water to a boil. Remove from heat and put sage in the water. Let steep for about 3-5 minutes.
2. Strain, pour in cup, add lemon and honey, if desired, and drink. You may drink this hot or cold. Enjoy!
Used carefully and properly over time, it has many wonderful benefits, unimaginable to most non-Native people in the Far West. Over-used, or used improperly (if boiled for example), it is poisonous and causes toxic build-up in the liver that can lead to serious damage and painful, frightening symptoms such as muscular spasms that if ignored can lead to death.
Properly used, sage heals the problems that it causes if used without proper understanding of this herb. Anyway, this recipe is a good one, DO NOT recommend that you steep it for longer, as after five minutes the toxic chemicals in ANY HERB always begin to steep out. That is why black or green tea, coffee (and anything else really) all have nasty effects when over-steeped.

Mike Dillard- Magnetic Sponsoring-Old School Thinking
----------------------------------------------------
"Mike, I read your Magnetic Sponsoring book and it is amazing. My question is once I get this off and running how do I deal with an upline that is so entrenched in the old way of thinking? They literally monitor every move we make… Watching our stats and reviewing our volume online, calling and emailing on a daily basis to see who we have prospected recently etc. I know that they will have questions when they see my immediate success (my goal is to blow them all out of the water!)
------------------------------------------------------great question.
I think it comes down to this…
Everyone wants to know what the “best way” to build their business is. There’s a natural tendency to move towards methods that are most efficient…
Methods that bring the highest reward for the least amount of effort, and most distributors are on a constant journey to find this holy grail.
Now as much as I’d like to declare to you today, that Magnetic Sponsoring is that best method in the world for building a home business, I cannot…
Why?
Because we’re leaving out one part of the equation… You.
We all come to the table with different strengths, weaknesses, and abilities, and THESE factors determine what methods will work best for you as an individual.
If you’re upline has been in the game for a while, and has had success using old school methods, then as far as they’re concerned, those methods are what work best.
Over time they’ve mastered these techniques, which they can continue to use to great effect.
Now if you’re new to the industry, you’re going to need to figure out which methods work best for YOU.
If the old-school ways don’t appeal to you, that’s fine. They didn’t appeal to me either. It doesn’t mean that my way works better than someone else’s. Both methods will require years of study and practice to master.
When it comes to “confronting” your upline, or ruffling feathers, don’t worry about it.
If you value the relationship and their friendship, just be open and honest about it.
Let them know that you’d prefer to approach your business using methods that are more congruent with your interests and strengths.
If they have a problem with it, then it’s THEIR problem, and if that’s the case, you might want to consider joining a team that uses and supports the methods you wish to pursue.
I’ve been in this industry for over 10 years now, and have pursued this business in every way imaginable… Home/hotel meetings, cold calling business cards, dropping sizzle cards, buy leads, genealogy lists, fliers, classifieds, postcards…
You name it.
I’m a very logical, left-brained person, which means I constantly analyzed what was really going on as I experimented, and learned from all of my upline members.
Over the years, I was able to come to a conclusion about my business, and the way I wanted to build it…Many people have called it visionary. A few have scoffed and mumbled nasty things under their breath.
My method was as follows:
1: The best target market for prospects consists of distributors and leaders who are already in the industry. Instead of cold calling them, a minimum of 20-30 were going to contact me daily. This was accomplished not by pitching an opportunity, but by solving their problems and addressing their needs.
2: I was not going to chase or convince people to join my business. I was going to attract them to me by demonstrating value and leadership through effective marketing.
3: I was not going to sit on the phone all day pitching my opportunity to individuals. Instead I would use effective copywriting to sell to large numbers of people via email, and the web at once.
4: In the course of building a downline, I would expand my business vertically, and own the tools and systems used by the rest of the company.
5: I wasn’t going to focus on simply building a networking opportunity, which may or may not be here in 5 years. My focus was on building “You Inc”, which is my list, and the reputation I have with my list.
My list would become a virtual distribution channel.
This would bring stability, and allow me to build another downline with the click of a mouse, should something ever happen to the primary opportunity.
6: 95% of prospects will say “no” to your products or business. I would find a way to make these people customers in other ways by providing solutions to their biggest problems, which would triple my income.
7: The long-term goal was not to build just a downline. It was to build a business that served the industry at large.
Now I’m not saying that my method which became known as “Magnetic Sponsoring, is “the best”, but I can tell you this…Following this plan has allowed me to accomplish all of my goals, and then some…
I haven’t called a lead in two years, but I’ve built the 2nd largest downline in my company.
By adding value to the industry, I attract 500-700 networkers per day instead of 20-30.

Don't Give Up, The Reward in Near

What can you do when there seems to be no hope? You can keep going.
What's the best option when you feel like giving up? The best option is to keep going. How can you respond when circumstances are acting against you? The most effective response is to continue working your way forward no matter what other factors may be present. All that you know is based on past experience, and yet the future does not equal the past.
For right now you can take action to determine that future and to change the way things will be. Though it can be easy to give up, remember this. When you're at the point of giving up, you're also at the point where maximum value can be created.
If you feel like giving up, then you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by continuing to push forward.
Keep going, for the reward is closer with every step you take.
