There is a Way!
When it’s something you truly wish to do, there’s a way to get it done. There’s a way to cut through all the objections, obstacles and excuses, and to make it happen.
If you don’t know how, then you can learn. If you can’t find anyone to teach you, then you can figure out your own approach.
If you don’t have time, examine and update your priorities. Remember why it’s important to you, and keep remembering as you continue taking effective action.
If it seems way too overwhelming, start with just a tiny first step. If you’re not progressing fast enough, use a little bit of innovation to leverage your efforts.
Achievement is one of life’s greatest adventures. You owe it to yourself to enjoy as much of it as you possibly can.
Set yourself a meaningful goat and add some great new value to your world. Make the commitment to start right now, and you’ll quickly find that there’s a way.

Stop Using Anti-Freeze on Your Skin!

What you say Holistic Diva has lost her mind and gone crazy? Let's see who the crazy one is... did you know if you look in your bathroom right now you will find almost on every label from what you use, the babies use, your man use has PROPYLENE GLYCOL?
What is Propylene Glycol IS ASK?>>>>>>>> Anti-Freeze!
Propylene Glycol (PG, Polyethylene Glycol (PEG), and Ethylene Glycol (EG) are all petroleum derivatives that act as solvents, surfactants, and wetting agents. They can easily penetrate the skin, and can weaken protein and cellular structure. In fact, PG penetrates the skin so quickly that the EPA warns factory workers to avoid skin contact, to prevent brain, liver, and kidney abnormalities.
PG is present in many stick deodorants, often in heavier concentration than in most industrial applications. (Nyack, Dr. Vin, Ph.D., Biochemist; personal communication). And Propylene Glycol is what is used to carry the “active” ingredients in those transdermal patches INTO YOUR BODY!! Imagine a bottle of Anti-Freeze in a picture with shampoos, deodorants, cosmetics, lotions and toothpastes?
The question you should be asking is ….

What’s Anti-Freeze doing IN my shampoos, deodorants, cosmetics, lotions and toothpaste?
Yes, the main ingredient in anti-freeze is in all of these products!
Shocked? You should be! You need to understand what it could do to your health…
PROPYLENE GLYCOL - is a colorless, viscous, hygroscopic liquid CH3CHOHCH2OH, used in anti-freeze solutions, in hydraulic fluids, and as a solvent. Also called “Propanediol” American Heritage Encyclopedia Dictionary.
PROPYLENE GLYCOL is used in: Anti-Freeze * Brake and Hydraulic Fluid * De-Icer * Paints and Coatings * Floor Wax * Laundry Detergents * Pet Food * Tobacco * Cosmetics * Toothpastes * Shampoos * Deodorants * Lotions * Processed Foods and many more personal care items.
Check out your body lotions, deodorant, hair conditioner, hair gel, creams, and many more products! Propylene Glycol serves as a Humectant – a substance that helps retain moisture content, or simply –it prevents things from drying out. That’s why some pet foods are soft and chewy. This, of course, is a good reason it’s in cosmetics and other personal care items. It makes the skin feel moist and soft. And, the products don’t dry out. Propylene Glycol is also found in baby wipes and even some processed foods! Go ahead, check your labels!
A published clinical review showed propylene glycol causes a significant number of reactions and was a primary irritant to the skin even in low levels of concentrations. The American Academy of Dermatologists, Inc; Jan. 1991
The problem is PROPYLENE GLYCOL may be absorbed through the skin. Studies have shown SYSTEMIC retention (Residue throughout).

Lanolin, Baa Baa Bad Sheep- ANIMAL BY PRODUCTS 101

Lanolin, BAA BAA Bad Sheep- Animal-by products 101
If you are reading your labels on your personal care products, I commend you right now, stand up and pat your back. Job well done. If you are one of those shoppers that just go thru the aisles looking for the best deal (cheap) or at the dollar store getting those $1 brand beauty products, sit down, YOU ARE ABOUT TO GET VERY ANGRY. If you are sharing these with your children, YOU ARE ABOUT TO GET HOT UNDER THE COLLAR. Why don't they educate about these things in school?
I find that our parents were told this was good, and generations just keep following not questions where did this come from or what is it? It time people to WAKE UP!
Lanolin is simply the wax taken from sheep's wool, (sheep’s dandruff) after the sheep has been shorn. The clipped wool is covered with a pale-yellow, water repellent wax. Also known as wool fat. It's extracted from the wool by a boiling process. This is crude lanolin (ewww!)
Sailors and soldiers alike all used lanolin as a very effective anti-corrosion and waterproofing agent for a variety of metals, materials, timbers, and also to protect sails, leather, cannons, etc. It is naturally foul-smelling, but loses its odor when refined for cosmetic products. Lanolin can be found in soaps, many cosmetics, ointments, creams, and is used as a lubricant, and in finishing and preserving leather. Surprisingly it is also an ingredient in some varnishes and paints and in some shoe polish. Many people have allergic reactions to it. It can also clog your skin's pores and may cause you to break out.
Problems: eczema, diaper rash, itchy skin, hair breakage and damage and many more
There are two problems with lanolin.
1. It can be refined to acceptable cosmetic grade and still contain impurities, some of which can be allergens. People who are allergic to lanolin are probably allergic to unrelated ingredients that were not removed in the refining process. Also, some manufacturers use a chemical bleach to whiten the color.
2. Some lanolin can be tainted with DDT, dieldrin, lindane, or other toxic pesticides. It's possible for these carcinogens to make their way into our skincare products. This is because the sheep may be eating food that has been treated with these or other insecticides.
A lot of these direct sales company still use chemicals, lanolin and mineral oil in their products..trust me I used to sell them..you know them with the catalogs and cheap 1.99 lip gloss, or the pink cadillac ladies with the harmful alcohol in the products. I know because I have read every ingredient in these products I USED to sell. I GREW A CONSCIOUS... I could no longer sell these harmful products to the community.
THE SOUL PURPOSE PRODUCT LINE DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY ANIMAL BY PRODUCTS, CRUDE OIL OR LANOLIN. WE HAVE SAFE AND BENEFICIAL PRODUCTS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. Check them out today and KICK THE SHEEP HABIT.

World's Oldest Medicine: Peppermint is it making your Feet Happy & Healthy?

Are your feet HAPPY AND HEALTHY?
Try our Happy Feet soak (Dual purpose: foot & bath soak)ingredients: eucalyptus, lavender mint tea, tea tree, spearmint and peppermint oil.
Did you know that:
Peppermint is a cross between watermint and spearmint and is native to Europe. Hence it is often termed as the world’s oldest medicine.
Unlike many other herbs and essential oils, numerous health benefits of peppermint and peppermint oil have been studied and proved by the scientific community.
Peppermint oil contains numerous minerals and nutrients including manganese, iron, magnesium, calcium, folate, potassium, and copper. It also contains omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin A and Vitamin C.
The health benefits of peppermint oil include the following:
•Indigestion: Peppermint oil is very helpful in digestion. Often people put a few drops of peppermint oil in a glass of water and drink it after their meal due to its digestive properties. It is carminative and therefore helps in removing gas. Peppermint oil is a good tonic for those who have a low appetite. It also helps during motion sickness and upset stomach. Preliminary research has proved that peppermint oil in the combination of caraway oil can be used for treating heartburns.
•Dental Care: Peppermint oil, due to its antiseptic properties, is useful for dental care. It removes bad breath and helps teeth and gums deal with germs. No wonder, it is added in numerous toothpastes. It is also useful for treating toothaches.
•Respiratory Problems: Menthol, which is present in abundance in peppermint oil, helps in clearing the respiratory tract. It is an effective expectorant and therefore provides instantaneous, though temporary, relief in numerous respiratory problems including nasal congestion, sinusitis, asthma, bronchitis, cold and cough. As a result, it is used in numerous cold rubs. When these cold rubs are rubbed on the chest, they remove nasal and respiratory congestion immediately.
•Nausea and Headache: Peppermint oil is a good home remedy for nausea and headache. Applying peppermint oil in diluted form on the forehead is known to remove headache.
•Stress: Like most other essential oils, peppermint is able to provide relief from stress, depression and mental exhaustion due to its refreshing nature. It is also effective against anxiety and restlessness.
•Irritable Bowel Syndrome: The muscle relaxing property of peppermint oil has been found to ease irritable bowel syndrome. This has been validated through preliminary scientific research though the exact mechanism is still unknown.
•Antispasmodic: Peppermint oil is very effective for gastroscopy, colonoscopy and during double-contrast barium enema. It is applied intraluminally. Further benefits of peppermint oil due to its antispasmodic properties are being studied.
•Urinary Tract Infection: Peppermint oil can be used for treating urinary tract infection (UTI). However, thorough scientific studies are yet to be conducted to confirm this.
•Pain Relief: Peppermint oil can be used externally for providing relief from pain. It is believed that the presence of calcium antagonism in peppermint oil aids in removing pain. It is cooling in nature and therefore helps reduce fever.
•Immune System: Peppermint oil increases your immunity to diseases and therefore helps you in preventing a number of diseases.
•Blood Circulation: It also improves blood circulation.
•Hair Care: Peppermint oil is very useful for hair care as it gives a cooling effect to the head, and removes dandruff and lice.
•Skin Care: Peppermint oil contains Menthol, which is good for skin. It gives a cooling effect. Further it nourishes dull skin and improves oily skin.
It is further believed that peppermint oil is useful for treating cancer and tuberculosis.
Peppermint blends well with various other essential oils including eucalyptus, rosemary, lemon, marjoram, etc.
